We invite you to join us for this wonderful community event designed to prepare kids for a brand-new school year.

Families and students from all around our community will be able to come and receive a brand new backpack and pair of shoes* to get ready for the new school year, all while enjoying plenty of food and fun on a great summer evening!

Our annual event for every car AND burger lover in the area! Come join us as we celebrate the stories and projects that ride along with each car that will show up. This year due to the rising cost of meat, we will be serving burgers by the Cattleman's Association at 6pm. Come early to make sure you have a chance to see each car!

For the past five years, we have been blessed with the opportunity to invest in our community by providing backpacks and other items for kids as they head into the new school year. We’re excited to serve these families in August by once again holding this event. God has called us to love where we live, and this is a great chance for you to be involved by serving at the event or by sponsoring students. The 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year and with that, we invite the whole community and the surrounding area to Whiting Christian Church for a service on the front lawn! The service will begin at 10am and all you need is you, your family, and a lawn chair for you to be comfortable in for worship!

An event for everyone! Wear your (family friendly, please) costumes and come hang out with us for some great games and as much candy anyone could handle. Free food will be available for everyone as well as drinks and hot beverages. We look forward to seeing you then!

Annual gathering to remember those who have fought and died to protect the freedoms we have in the United States of America. This is a community-wide service, shared by the two churches in Whiting. The service will be held here at WCC this year, so we hope you will join us for refreshments at 9am, followed by this wonderful service.
